This inlay contains 18,848 rings in European 4 in 1. All rings were
coiled, cut and weaved in 67 days. I purchased reading glasses (+2.00
magnification) about 2000 rings into this project and my weaving speed
increased by 10 - 15%. The rings used in this project are .019"/.020" (24
gauge/0.5mm), wrapped around a 1/16" (1.59mm) mandrel, which is the
smallest ring size I have used to date.. Now that I've put this together I
feel as though I could work with even smaller rings, perhaps wrapped on a
3/64" mandrel.
