This CD rack was put together in 56 days. The primary weave in use is that
of Staggered Captive Inverted Round Sheet (C1) at its minimum AR of 5.4.
The sides and shelves were not quick to assemble, due to the tightness of
the weave. Connecting the shelves to the sides proved somewhat
challenging. I built the unit from the botttom up, building the sides up
to the height of where the next shelf was to be connected, then attached a
shelf on both sides before moving on. The back was added on afterwards and
is pulled tight by its attachment to the sides and the top and bottom
shelf. It is also attached to each of the three middle shelves to keep it
from pushing back too far when you put cds on the shelves. The unit is
quite sturdy and properly supports the weight of the cds. 120 CDs weigh
around 27 pounds (12.3kg).
