Weaves by Form: unit (10)

A unit is a single structure of a certain ring connectivity, forming a unique connection pattern which, when finished, is complete and would no longer have any rings added to it.

Single units can be formed into chains by linking them in series, or into sheets by connecting them in series on two planes. Occasionally, when ring orientations are in specific configurations, units can be expaned on three planes and thus formed into dimensional weaves. A single unit, some might argue, is not technically a chainmail weave.
